Price Chopper continues support of Kurn Hattin

WESTMINSTER - Price Chopper's Golub Foundation recently contributed a grant to Kurn Hattin Homes' School Farm Program.

This program exposes the children to the diverse skills involved in agriculture and sustainability and demonstrates the value and importance of coordinated teamwork to realize outcomes. The educational aspects are unlimited and included in virtually all aspects of the educational and therapeutic curricula.

Foery receives arborist certification

WILMINGTON - Bill Foery, owner of Black Diamond Tree Service in Wilmington, recently demonstrated professional competency by successfully completing the Certified Arborist examination administered through the International Society of Arboriculture and the New England Chapter of the ISA. The purpose of the ISA Certification Program is to improve the level of knowledge and standard of practice within the tree care profession. It is designed to assist the public in identifying those professionals in arboriculture who have demonstrated, through a professionally developed examination and education program, a thorough knowledge of tree care practices. All Certified Arborists carry a wallet identification card for verification. Certification is valid for three years. The ISA program tests and certifies an individual's knowledge in the field of Arboriculture.

ISA's Certification Program is designed to promote the professional development of those involved in the field of arboriculture or tree care.
