Green Mountain Traffic Control recognized by AGC

ROCKINGHAM -- Every year, the Associated General Contractors of Vermont and the Vermont Independent Electrical Contractors Association host an annual meeting and award ceremony to honor members and their outstanding projects. This meeting also serves as the month long, kick-off to the annual toy drive fundraiser, which benefits local Vermont families and The Salvation Army.

A local Windham County safety service provider, Green Mountain Traffic Control, Inc., was awarded the Best Builders Award for Outstanding Quality of Work and Effort for Emergency Service with Green Mountain Power’s Springfield garage covering Springfield, Chester and Hartland. Deborah Wright, GMTC president, expressed her pride in her staff and employees, for their diligence in performing their job to keep Vermont safe and for being recognized with this award.

Sanderson returns to Parks Place

BELLOWS FALLS -- The Parks Place Community Resource Center Board of Directors recently welcomed the return of Connie Sanderson, who previously served as a member in the mid to late 1990s. Sanderson presently serves as the Co-Executive Director of Kurn Hattin.

Author and coordinator of Kurn Hattin’s most recent strategic plan, Ms. Sanderson is joining the Board just as Parks Place begins the implementation process of its recently adopted strategic plan. Her many strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of the communities served by Parks Place will greatly aid this process. Sanderson grew up on Long Island and moved to Vermont in 1976. She has one son who is a film editor.
