Brattleboro >> Are you self employed? Do you have questions about taxes?
The United Way of Windham County invites all self-employed individuals in Windham County to participate in a discussion of the Tax Implications of Self Employment, presented by Grant Peterson, senior stakeholder relationship tax consultant with the Internal Revenue Service in Burlington.
This free session will cover the following topics:
• What is self-employment?
• Types of self-employed entities
• The Self-Employment Tax
• Basic Recordkeeping
• Which expenses are deductible?
• Travel expenses
• When to depreciate
• How can the Earned Income Credit help?
The discussion will be held Tuesday, July 12, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, at the Holstein Association Training Room, 1 Holstein Place in Brattleboro. Participants are asked to park behind the Holstein building on Reed Street, off of South Main Street.
