TRASH/RECYCLING: The Brattleboro Town Clerk’s office has announced that the trash, recycling and curbside composting for residents is now being picked up weekly on their regularly scheduled day.

SENIOR LUNCH: The Evening Star Grange/Senior Solutions’ Senior Lunch will begin at noon on Wednesday, June 26. The menu will include "oven fried" chicken, green salad, corn pudding, broccoli/cauliflower casserole, smashed potatoes with gravy, with pumpkin upside down pie for dessert. A sugar-free dessert will also be available.
Takeouts are available by calling the Grange at 802-254-1138. Lydia Taft Pratt Library will have books for takeout prior to and after the meal. A donation of $3 for seniors and $4 for others is recommended.
The Grange is located at 1008 East-West Road in Dummerston Center.
COMMUNITY POTLUCK: A Marlboro community potluck supper and raffle is planned for Tuesday, June 25, at 6 p.m. at the Marlboro Meeting House, 524 South Road, off Route 9.
Those attending are asked to bring something to share, a main dish, dessert, or bread, their choice. A raffle with local goods will begin after supper.

CONGREGATE LUNCH: Friends and neighbors are invited to the Putney congregate lunch on Tuesday, June 25, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Putney Cares Activities Barn, 54 Kimball Hill. On the menu will be chicken salad, cold tomato soup, cornbread, ice cream, coffee and tea.

SUMMER READING: The Putney Public Library will host its Summer Reading Party Kick Off event on Thursday, June 27, at 11 a.m., with special guest Jody Scalise performing his "Amazing Phyzical Comedy Show."
This program features high energy laughs for all ages and is free of charge. After the performance the library will host a garden party and provide refreshments and free books for every child. Space is limited, arrive early so as not to be turned away at the door for lack of space and fire code regulations.
SENIOR LUNCH: Senior Solutions will sponsor the Williamsville Senior Lunch on Thursday, June 27, at noon at the Williamsville Town Hall, in the downstairs dining room. The dinner is for seniors in Williamsville and surrounding communities. On the menu will be barbecued chicken, pulled pork, slaw, cornbread, beans and sweet potato tart.
The meal is prepared at the Williamsville Town Hall kitchen by Jon Julian owner/chef of Top of the Hill Grill, hosted by Nancy Rysz and Nissa Petrak.
