-- Brattleboro police responded to Motel 6 on Putney Road for a report of a disturbance May 16 just before midnight. Randy French, 42, of Cornville, Maine, was allegedly knocking loudly on doors at the motel and attempting to push his way into rooms. One person reported being knocked to the ground by French. He was cited to appear in Windham District Court June 29 to answer to the charge of disorderly conduct.
-- Wayne Bland III, 31, of Silver Creek, Miss., was cited for driving while intoxicated May 14. The Brattleboro Police were called to Bruegger’s in the Coop parking lot for a suspicious-looking male, and when police arrived he had already left in his vehicle and was driving up Canal Street. Police located him a short time later on Main Street and conducted a motor vehicle stop. After a short investigation, police determined he was intoxicated and brought him to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. He was later released on a citation to court for a later date and time.
-- Tanya Campbell, of Brattleboro, was arrested May 14 at 9:30 a.m. by the Brattleboro police and cited to appear in court at a future date for 15 counts of criminal contempt.
-- Dana Waterman, of Brattleboro, was cited for obstruction of justice and two counts of disorderly conduct by telephone May 12. He will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
-- Joseph Mattioli, 62, of Wilmington, was stopped by Brattleboro Police May 14 and was found to be intoxicated.
-- Janet M. Derosia, 43, of Brattleboro, was cited for driving while intoxicated at 7:30 p.m. on May 12. Police responded to the Creamery Bridge on Guilford Street for a report of an accident, and Derosia was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. She was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. She was issued a citation to appear in court June 1.
-- Felicia Kendall, 32, of Brattleboro, was cited to appear in court June 8 for careless and negligent operation of a vehicle. Kendall allegedly drove through Dummerston on Interstate 91 at 100 miles per hour May 18 at 8:20 a.m. She was driving a 2006 Ford van.
-- Roland V. Grybauskas, 59, was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department May 16 at 4:20 p.m. on Route 112. He was found to have a blood alcohol content greater than the legal limit and was cited to appear in court June 1 to answer to the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
-- Vanessa Cayton, 18, of Jamaica, and Corey Biddulph, 16, of Brattleboro received minor injuries from a rollover car crash on Route 100.
The crash occurred at 8:30 p.m. on May 12; members of the Vermont State Police, Brattleboro police and the Jamaica Volunteer Fire Department responded. Investigation revealed that a 1995 Oldsmobile 88 sedan, driven by Cayton, was traveling north at about 50 miles per hour when she left her lane and lost control of her vehicle. She attempted to regain control without success and left the paved roadway, striking two trees and rolling her vehicle into the middle of the roadway.
That section of road remained closed for approximately two hours. The vehicle was a total loss and was towed from the scene by Scott Brooks Towing of Townshend.
-- On May 18, Putney Inn was found to be burglarized. Among the items taken was an undisclosed amount of cash, a Dell laptop computer and a digital camera. The burglary is believed to have occurred in the early morning. -- Harold A. Layne, 41, of White River Junction, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol May 16 at 12:47 p.m. Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 91 northbound and noticed an odor of intoxicating beverages emanating from the vehicle. State police also noticed what appeared to be alcohol containers inside the vehicle.
Lanye performed field sobriety exercises and showed signs of impairment, police said. He was taken into custody and issued a citation to appear in court June 1 at 8 a.m.
-- Arah Mills, 37, of Bellows Falls, was arrested shortly after midnight on May 4 for a petit larceny that occurred Feb. 26. He was processed and released with a citation to appear in court June 1 to answer to the charge.
-- The Bellows Falls police arrested Kathleen Damon, 45, of Bellows Falls for disorderly conduct May 14 at 11:50 p.m. She was ordered held until sober at Southern State Correctional Facility and was issued a citation to appear in court June 29.
-- Vermont State Police cited Stephen Christian, 47, of Bellows Falls, for drunken driving and driving with a suspended license on May 12 at 1 a.m.
State police from the Rockingham barracks stopped Christian after learning that he was being sought in the investigation of a suspicious incident in Bellows Falls a short time earlier.
He was found to have been drinking and was arrested. He was transported to the Rockingham State Police barracks for processing and later held at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield. Christian is scheduled to be arraigned June 1 at 8 a.m.
-- Colleen James, 27, of Troy, N.H., was arrested by Bellows Falls police on May 15 at 11:40 p.m. for possession of marijuana. She was issued a citation to appear in court June 29.
-- Vermont State Police responded on May 19 to a Townshend residence that had been burglarized. The residence is located on Brookline Road.
Investigation revealed that an unknown individual or individuals entered the residence and stole electronics, including two flat-screen televisions and a blue-ray player. Jewelry was also stolen.
