Font ResizeBRATTLEBORO -- Jason Porter of Bedford, N.H., nosed out Brattleboro’s Jacob Ellis to win the Bill Powers Memorial Firecracker 4-Miler on Wednesday morning. Porter finished in 22:13 and Ellis was just one second behind at the wire.
Heather Conarroe of Greenwich, Conn., was the first female finisher -- she placed 15th overall in 26:04. Angela Slowinski of Colrain, Mass., took second in the female class.
