Brattleboro

-- Pamela S. Gleason, 42, of Brattleboro, was arrested on warrant Tuesday, June 2, and was cited for resisting arrest, providing false information to police and being a fugitive from justice.

Gleason has a Vermont warrant stemming from a charge of petit larceny and a New Hampshire warrant for a probation violation.

Brattleboro Police located Gleason at the Super 8 Motel at 1043 Putney Road at approximately 9:10 a.m. She was taken in custody following a brief foot pursuit and was lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department for lack of $5,000 bail.

-- Two out-of-towners were cited for possession of heroin charges on Tuesday, July 3.

Zachary Riley, 26, of Hartford, and Daniel Degasta, 34, of Norwich, are due in court on Tuesday, Aug. 8, to answer to the charge.

According to police reports, troopers with the Vermont State Police Traffic Operations Team stopped Riley for a minor vehicle violation at approximately 3 p.m. Upon investigation, troopers discovered that Riley and his passenger, Degasta, were in possession of 86 bags of heroin.

Dummerston

-- Ryan P. Smith, 20, of Brattleboro, was cited on Sunday, June 1, for driving under the influence of alcohol.

A member of the Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Wickopee Hill Road at approximately 6 p.m. The trooper determined that Smith had been operating under the influence when he crashed the vehicle.

who will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge, was wearing his seatbelt and no injuries were reported.

Guilford

-- A Vernon woman sustained scrapes, cuts, bruises and some soft tissue injury when she failed to negotiate a curve on Guilford Center Road on the moped she was operating on Saturday, June 30.

According to police, Diana McKay, 52, entered the on-coming lane and went down in the roadway. The investigation is ongoing.

Newfane

-- Harry W. Goddard, 57, of Newfane, was cited with aggravated assault after allegedly attacking a married couple with a metal pipe on Saturday, June 30.

Goddard is being held in Springfield on $5,000 bail.
