Font ResizeBRATTLEBORO -- Some residents in Westminster and Rockingham will find themselves without electricity for several hours this weekend.
Green Mountain Power will interrupt electric service early Sunday morning, July 22, to customers along Saxtons River Road and Main Street in Rockingham and Westminster, west from I-91 to Pleasant Valley Road, including all roads and side streets along this section of Saxtons River Road, including Davidson Hill Road, Hall Bridge Road, Rockingham Hill Road, Hartley Hill Road and Westminster Street.
The outage is scheduled to begin at 1 a.m. and last until approximately 5 a.m. The interruption is necessary to provide safe working conditions for Green Mountain Power crews making system upgrades that will provide more reliable power and also allow faster restoration times when outages do occur.
In case of inclement weather, the outage will be postponed until July 29, at the same time.
