BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Police Department has made an arrest for a string of burglaries that have occurred around the region since mid-June.
The suspect, whose name is not being released at this time, is scheduled to appear in Windham Superior Court on Aug. 28 to answer to the charges.
According to a police press release the male suspect is facing multiple felony charges and could face additional charges as the investigation continues.
Det. Michael Carrier said the suspect is being charged with grand larceny, unlawful mischief and retail theft stemming from his involvement in an incident that occurred at the Price Chopper on June 18.
Carrier says the suspect is also being charged with two counts of burglary and petit larceny for his involvement in burglaries at Dianne’s Hair Express on Canal Street on June 26 and July 5.
Around the time of the second the break in at Dianne’s Hair Express, there was also a burglary at the Windham Veterinary Clinic on Noah’s Lane and an attempted break in at Mac’s Barber Shop on Putney Road.
Each of those events were from the result of forced entry, the police said at the time.
It was not clear Tuesday if the suspect would be facing charges for those crimes.
The man was arrested as a result of an investigation conducted by Det. Jonathan Griffus of the Brattleboro Police Department.
