HINSDALE, N.H. -- Fire crews from several towns assisted at the scene of a late night fire downtown, Tuesday, at the Hinsdale Convenience Store on Main Street.
The fire was upgraded to a second alarm just after 10:30; by midnight there was "heavy fire" reported on the third floor.
Firefighers from Brattleboro, Vt., Hinsdale, Winchester and Chesterfield departments assisted at the scene.
A large group of people standing in front of Town Hall watched flames shoot out of the roof.
Parts of Hinsdale and Winchester were without power. It was unclear what, if any, connection the outage had with the fire.
