MARLBORO -- A Massachusetts man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 9, Saturday afternoon.

According to State Police, Wei Wei, 32, of Ashby, Mass., was traveling along Route 9 driving a 2004 Nissan Maxima a little after 3 p.m. when he became distracted, causing the car he was driving to crash through a telephone pole and then roll over.

A Penske Truck, driven by Scott Dickenson, 36, of Bennington, traveling east on Route 9 struck the fallen telephone pole. Dickenson was not injured.

Wei’s car was totalled, and he was transferred to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with injuries to his right forearm, and later released.

At the time of the crash, there was no precipitation and police said the road was dry.
