Brattleboro

-- Brian Huey, 40, of Brattleboro was arrested for violating his conditions of release.

He will appear in court to answer to the charge.

-- David Chabre, 50, of Putney was cited for driving with a criminally suspended license after the State Police stopped him on Interstate 91, near Exit 2 in Brattleboro on Oct. 11.

Chabre was stopped while driving a 2002 Dodge Intrepid at around 3:15 p.m.

He was processed and ordered to appear in Windham Superior Court on Nov. 20.

-- Ryan Cobb, 18, of Brattleboro, was charged with possessing a deadly weapon in a school building after police found him carrying the weapon at Brattleboro Union High School.

According to a press release Cobb had brought a knife to school on Thursday, Oct. 11, and was cited by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department.

-- The Brattleboro Police Department is warning residents to be aware of a phone calling scheme.

According to the police some area residents have received calls from someone claiming to be from Microsoft who is asking for access to a computer and personal information.

The police suggest that residents not give out financial or private information over the phone.

Bellows Falls

-- Two juveniles were cited for stealing a vehicle after the Vermont State Police were able to track down the truck in Bellows Falls.

According to the police a 1996 Jeep Cherokee was taken from a residence on Route 121 late Friday in Westminster and the police later found the car parked on Granger Street.

A witness said the youths were seen pushing the truck and the 15- and 16-year-old later admitted to stealing the vehicle.

They were cited for operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Westminster

-- Linda Orton, 60, of Athens, was cited for retail theft after a security camera caught her stealing an item from the Circle K convenience store in Westminster on Route 5.

According to the police Orton put an item into her bag on Oct. 6 and never paid for it.

Orton was later found and cited. She is scheduled to appear in court to answer to the charge.
