BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro junior varsity football team finished its season with a 24-8 victory over Bellows Falls and then a 38-0 romp of rival MAU.

Tyler McKenney scored twice on keepers and also hooked up with Taylor King for a 94-yard TD pass against the Terriers. And Trevor Santos picked off a pass to set up Jack Ochukpue’s five-yard touchdown run.

Dillion Green and Ryan Duford each had three sacks versus MAU, while Taylor King added an interception. Alex Harrison, Alex Roseware and Evan Perkins all recovered a fumble. Dakota Peterson scored twice for the Colonels -- on a 45-yard punt return and a 12-yard rush. Tyler McKenney fired a 52-yard scoring strike to Ryan Duford, Eli Kapral pounced on a fumble for a score, Jack Ochukpue reached paydirt from nine yards out, and Alex Harrison took an interception return 95 yards to the house. Duford also caught a two-point conversion pass.

The JV Colonels wound up with a 3-4 record.

BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department is pleased to announce the registration for the Session II Gymnastics Classes on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Gibson-Aiken Center, 207 Main Street.

Classes will begin the week of Nov. 12, and will run for an eight-week session. The cost of the eight-week program will be $60 for Brattleboro residents and $75 for non-residents. Late registrations will be pro-rated. Classes

are run Tuesdays-Saturdays for ages 18 months and up.

There is also an Open Gym time available on Thursdays for ages 1-5 with parent for $4 or Saturdays for ages 6 and up for $6.

Lorraine Cote will direct the Gymnastics Program. Lorraine has a B.S. in Physical Education and Health and has taught gymnastics for 16 years in private clubs. She has been associated with Brattleboro Gymnastics for the past 14 years.
