-- On Nov. 11, Brattleboro Police investigated the report of an alleged kidnapping, which included a paid ransom. Further investigation revealed the alleged victim had falsified the incident. Travis T. King was arrested for extortion, false report to law enforcement and false activation of emergency services.
-- On Nov. 13, Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Cotton Mill Hill. Following an investigation, Mark E. Reed, 56, of Fla., was arrested for driving with a criminally suspended license.
-- On Nov. 13, Brattleboro Police responded to the Hannaford store on Putney Road to investigate a report of shoplifting. Following an investigation, Andrea L. Randall, 29, of Brattleboro, was arrested for committing an act of retail theft.
-- On Nov. 13, Brattleboro Police responded to the Circle K gas station on Canal Street for a reported theft. Officers later made contact with Christopher Lanese, 35, who was arrested for retail theft and possession of marijuana. He was issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court at a later date.

-- On Nov. 24, Brattleboro Police came into contact Michael W. O’Brien, 26, of Brattleboro, at the Super 8 Motel. O’Brien was found to have an active arrest warrant stemming from a charge of petite larceny. O’Brien was taken into custody without incident and was lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department for lack of $5,000 bail.
-- On Nov. 23, members of the Vermont State Police Traffic Operations section were conducting speed enforcement on I-91 in Windham County. Senior Sgt. Michael Roj was operating radar in the north bound lane of I-91, when he observed a northbound vehicle passing another vehicle and traveling at a high rate of speed. The target vehicle was clocked on radar at 101 mph in a posted 65 mph zone. Sgt. Roj conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified it as a 2008 BMW Sedan. Andrew J. Poston, 32, of Brookline, Mass., was arrested and brought back to the Brattleboro barracks. He was processed and charged with careless and negligent operation and excessive speed. He was released on a citation to appear in Windham court on Dec. 18.
