Brattleboro
-- On Jan. 22, Brattleboro Police Department responded to 499 Marlboro Road for a possible underage drinking party. After a short investigation, two juveniles were found to have been drinking. When making contact with their parents, one juvenile used a friend to pose as her mother. Police recognized this and found the friend to be Sheryl Rutledge, 50, of Brattleboro. Rutledge was issued a citation to appear in court for giving false information to a police officer.
-- On Jan. 29, Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on I-91. Prior to the arrival of the Vermont State Police, Brattleboro Police Department provided assistance and determined alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation revealed that George C. Brenseke III, 34, of East Northport, N.Y., was traveling from Killington to Long Island, N.Y., where he resided. Several factors indicating alcohol consumption led to Brenseke being put through field sobriety exercises. As a result of these failed exercises, Brenseke was arrested for DUI. A front seat passenger in the vehicle sustained a laceration to his ear as a result of the crash. This passenger was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for further examination.

-- On Jan. 27, the Winhall Police Department received a report of sexual misconduct by a male subject, who was identified as Ivan Boles, 35, of South Londonderry. Boles was

-- On Jan. 25, Vermont State Police investigated a reported burglary at a residence on Sunset Lake Road. Investigation revealed that sometime between 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 22 and 6:32 p.m. on Jan. 25, unknown persons forced entry into the single family home. Numerous items were stolen from the home, including power tools and computers.

Putney
-- On Jan. 28, Christopher Cashin, 39, of Putney, was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff's Department after responding to a report of a burglary in Putney. Cashin will answer to the charges on Feb. 26.
