Police investigate armed robbery
BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of the Yankee Dollar Store on Canal Street on Friday, Feb. 15.
According to police, a lone, masked subject entered the store, displayed a handgun, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was observed leaving the store and getting into an older model, two-tone pickup truck with a loud exhaust.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

-- On Feb. 5, Nathanael Rauch, 19, of Brattleboro, was cited for two counts of simple assault.
-- On Feb. 12, Jeffery Hutchins, 33, of Cambridgeport, was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department for violating a condition of his probation.
Keene, N.H.
-- The New Hampshire State Police cited Ryan Mercia, 28, of Brattleboro, for driving while intoxicated on Feb. 3.
Londonderry
-- The Vermont State Police is investigating the burglary of a home at 215 Main Street that occurred sometime in the week of Jan. 11 to 18. According to police, items that were stolen included a Barbour winter coat, a fully loaded Hydros vest and various pieces of fly-fishing equipment. The total cost was estimated to be $3,500.

-- The Vermont State Police is investigating a burglary that occurred on Gualt Road sometime between Jan. 1 and Feb. 10. Anyone with information is urged to contact Trooper James Matthews at 802-254-2382.
