Brattleboro

-- A local man was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol on Thursday, March 21.

Brattleboro Police stopped a vehicle on Western Avenue for a minor motor vehicle infraction. Officers discovered the driver, Bryan Gelb, 35, was intoxicated.

Gelb was taken to the police department for processing and was ordered to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.

-- David A. Boyer, 53, of Newfane, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol on Friday, March 22.

He was ordered to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.

-- On Friday, March 22, Vermont State Troopers in Brattleboro pulled over a red 1989 Honda Prelude for having tinted windows.

The vehicle was searched and troopers discovered the operator, Robin Thomas Lane, 19, of Farmington, Conn., was in possession of marijuana and hashish.

Lane was cited for a misdemeanor possession of marijuana and issued a written warning for the traffic offense. She is scheduled to appear in court at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 23.

Dummerston

-- Vermont State troopers located a single-vehicle crash on Route 5 at 12:15 a.m. on Friday, March 22.

The operator said he had been coming from Brattleboro and headed to Landmark College, where he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and slid off the roadway. No injuries were reported and the vehicle -- which sustained damaged valued at less than $3,000 -- was towed from the scene.

Westminster

-- The Windham County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a theft from a motor vehicle and vandalism between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20. The complainant reported that he returned to find several windows broken, and items missing from his vehicle.
