MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Applications are due for New Hampshire's largest business startup competition, called TechOut.

The New Hampshire High Tech Council and the abi Innovation Hub have organized the event, which provides $500,000 in financing to be used over the next five years. This year's event is on Sept. 26. The application deadline is Monday.

At the inaugural TechOut last September, a company called miEdge, which provides an insurance prospecting tool for employee benefits and health and welfare industries, claimed the $50,000, first-place prize.
