I suppose being a chooch isn’t a new thing; it’s been happening forever and a day. There have always been idiots walking the planet trying to take other people’s stuff. I’m not sure why, but they just do. Case in point some, chooch felt it necessary to chuck a rock through a passenger side window on the station vehicle. Once there was a million pieces of exploded glass they proceeded to rifle though the empty vehicle finding nothing, but breaking stuff inside. Why? I couldn’t tell you. I can only offer up this: They’re jerks!
Some people will tell you that it’s because they don’t have any money or they are hooked on drugs. OK, I get that, but let me offer up this: Get sober and get a job, so you don’t have to harass sober people who do have jobs. Because once they catch you, you’re going to jail ... maybe! However, the citizen who was minding his or her own business while you were breaking into his or her car will need to foot the bill, cover the deductible and maybe even take time off from the job they perform sober on a day-to-day basis to fix what the chooch messed up.
I’ve never really understood the criminal mind and why they think they have to steal to make a living. Also never understood why they steal from other people. Not that I’m saying any one form of crime is better than another because it’s not.
So, if you are out there behaving like a chooch, let me politely ask you to stop. Seriously, there’s no need for it. Go get a job. Sober up. Do whatever you have to do to be a productive member of society. There’s no need to take anything that doesn’t belong to you, something that someone else has worked hard for and earned. I swear, for as long as I live I will never understand this mentality. Sure, I’ve seen things I’ve really, really wanted and couldn’t afford, so here’s what I did: I didn’t get them because I couldn’t afford them. Yes, it stinks, but if you got everything you’ve ever wanted you’d be boring.
I, for one, would like to go back to that time and place when you could leave your front door unlocked or not worry if you forgot to lock your car when you went to the movies. But, alas, we don’t live in that time or place anymore. Instead we live in this world where people take your stuff and sometimes they even break your stuff in order to take it. Frankly, it’s 10 pounds of stink in a five-pound sack, and I for one am a little fed up. But what are you going to do about it? Except making sure you lock your doors when your things are being used? Because we, as hard-working contributing members of society, are forced to protect our stuff from the anti-citizen, the chooch, and the great unwashed. Protect our stuff from people who don’t deserve what we have but will take it anyway. Leaves me asking -- what the hell is up with that?
