Fool's run

Westminster: On April 2, Southeastern Vermont Community Action will hold its first "Couch-to-5K" event, named the Fools' Run in celebration of April Fools' Day. SEVCA's Wellness Committee conceptualized the event as a way to encourage SEVCA employees and residents of the surrounding community to get active and live healthier. The event will also serve as a fundraiser for SEVCA's housing assistance program, which helps prevent homelessness among at-risk families and individuals and re-house those who are homeless. The Fools' Run is open to the public and will start promptly at 9 a.m. Participants will walk or run at their own pace on a moderately challenging gravel route starting at SEVCA's offices at 91 Buck Drive and proceeding up nearby Henwood Hill.
