BRATTLEBORO >> On Monday, Oct. 17, and again on Tuesday, Oct. 18, a portion of Grove Street, between No. 45 and No. 51 will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The Brattleboro Department of Public Works will be tapping a water main under
Grove Street and installing a new eight-inch water line from Grove Street to the Brattleboro Municipal Center in preparation for the upcoming replacement/upgrade of the fire sprinkler system. At this time it is expected that the Grove Street closure will last only two days.
However, Grove Street will again be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 26, and Thursday, Oct. 27, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to repave the affected portion of Grove Street.
From Oct. 17 through Oct. 19, access to the Brattleboro Municipal Center from Grove Street will be closed between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to all traffic. All metered parking spaces in the Municipal Center Parking lot will be closed to provide adequate space for two-way traffic on the north side of the Municipal Center, as access to and from Linden Street. Access will also be closed on Oct. 26 and 27.
