WESTMINSTER -- Chapin Reis has been named the September Elks Student of the Month for Bellows Falls Union High School. Chapin, a senior, is the daughter of Paul and Orpha Reis of Bellows Falls.
Always attentive in class and willing to put in the time needed to see success, Chapin is a strong student who cares about her education. She challenges herself academically, takes Honors Level classes and works hard. She contributes well in class, is always prepared, and puts forth her best effort on every single assignment.
Chapin has a positive attitude in general about school, life, and sports. She is always positive, upbeat, and is willing to do anything to help out another student or teacher. She has a positive attitude towards learning and never complains about homework or assignments. Chapin truly enjoys learning and always puts positive energy towards whatever project she is working on. She approaches her roles in sports and school activities in the same way, not only giving 100 percent of herself, but encouraging others to do so as well.
Clearly a "Terrier," Chapin loves BFUHS and plays an important role in being positive and involved in as many aspects of the school as possible. She is involved in soccer, indoor track, and spring track. She is also an active member and officer for the BFUHS Student Council, is President of the Senior class and is a member of National Honor Society.
Chapin is an active and proud member of the general community who always represents BFUHS well outside the school. She has taken part in a number of fundraisers in the community, from helping to raise money with NHS to help fight world hunger to numerous Student Council fundraisers focusing on Muscular Dystrophy.
