Electric Fence rocks Whetstone Station

BRATTLEBORO -- Electric Fence returns to Brattleboro for a night of free music, on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at The Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery. Music starts at 8:30 p.m.

Electric Fence plays original songs and covers from artists ranging from Louis Jordan to Patsy Cline to Tom Waits to Talking Heads. The band includes Steve Carmichael, Howard Weiss-Tisman, Jonny Sheehan and Jeremy Holch.

Radioke returns
to WOOL

BELLOWS FALLS -- Community radio station WOOL announced its fourth on-air singing competition. Radioke, WOOL’s signature name for live-to-air karaoke, gives area singers an opportunity to make their talents public in an open competition that is broadcast live on the air on 100.1FM and webcast on www.wool.fm.

Prizes for first, second and third place are offered to winners who compete over a three-show series with contests on Feb. 23, March 9, and finals on March 23. The competition is co-presented by the Bellows Falls restaurant Popolo, which hosts the event in the adjacent Windham Ballroom. The event is MC’d by John-Michael Maciejewski, chef at Popolo. Proceeds from the event will be donated to WOOL, a non-profit member-owned and volunteer run organization.
