This would seem like a no-brainer to anyone who ever saw what James Spader did to Robert Downey Jr. in "Less Than Zero."
James Spader will play the villain Ultron in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," according to the Huffington Post.
Marvel reported the news on its website Thursday. Spader, an Emmy award winner for his work in television, will be directed by Joss Whedon, who helmed the first "Avengers" film.
UIltron is an evil robot-type who has been a longtime nemesis of the Avengers, and is known as one of the most legendary villains in the Marvel universe.
Whedon confirmed as Comic-Con last month that Ultron would figure in the storyline. The movie is set for a May 1, 2015 release.
Tom Hiddleston, who plays "Loki," took to Twitter to welcome Spader to the franchise:
"Go on, James Spader. Go get 'em. @Avengers #AgeOfUltron"
