BRATTLEBORO -- Gregory Fitzgerald, Clint Joslyn and Tim Fleming were the winners of Wednesday’s Red Clover Rovers Fun Runs on Upper Dummerston Road.
Fitzgerald (8:01) edged Elsie Fleming (8:03) in the one-mile heat. Peyton Joslyn, 5, was next in 11:39 and Jace Joslyn finished fourth in 13:02.
In the 2.4-mile trail run, Joslyn ran away to victory in an impressive time of 15:44. He was followed home by Dan Barile (18:07), John Majonen (18:17), Brian Lashway (19:19), Doug Rogers (19:53), Bill Dixon (20:08), John Duff (21:19), Cathy Coutu (28:44) and Doug McCrae (28:44).
Fleming flew around the three-mile course and prevailed in a time of 19:09. Also in that race were: Conor Patrick O’Donnell (21:46), Chuck Adams (22:11), Leo Schiff (22:20), Angella Joslyn (25:00), Linda O’Donnell (25:57), Scott Hamm (25:59), Tom Fegley (27:40), Celia Cota (29:57), Serge Pouliot (31:59) and Ellen Cota (39:35).
Race organizers Gary and Chris Montgomery will end the series with an Australian Pursuit on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 6:30 p.m., near the entrance to the Brattleboro Country Club. The three-mile racers will start based on their average times, with the fastest runners giving the others a lead in the handicapped format. One adult and one child (under 16) will win a $50 gift certificate to Burrow’s.
