BENNINGTON -- Marcus LaFlam and Jacob Ranzona each scored for the MAU boys soccer team in a 2-0 victory over Brattleboro on Tuesday.
"It was a really good game," said BUHS coach Paul Sather. "They were a little better...a little more skilled."
The 3-2-1 Colonels will host Rutland on Monday.

BENNINGTON -- For the second time this season, the Patriots earned a 1-0 victory over their rivals.
The Colonels outshot MAU, 22-19. Aimee Johnston made 13 saves.
"We were the better team in the second half," said BUHS coach Edwin de Bruijn, whose Colonels fell behind 1-0 just two minutes in. "The whole team played hard."

The 2013 Keets Brook Wiffleball League officially ended with a doubleheader between the host Keets Brook All Stars and Mitch's Diads in Guilford.
Mitch Speaks led the Diads to a 4-2, 5-3 sweep of the Stars with a dominant hitting and pitching performance. Speaks smoked two home runs in the opener and then erased a 3-0 deficit by crushing a towering grand slam in the nightcap.
Mick "The Quick" Durante, in the twilight of a brilliant career, hit a solo home run and sacrifice fly in the opener for the Stars.
