WESTMINSTER -- The Bellows Falls field hockey team took care of Springfield, 4-0, on Tuesday.
Sarah Wells had a hat trick and Mariah Barnett also tallied for the winners. The Terriers haven’t been scored upon yet this season.
Bellows Falls (9-0) will play at Windsor on Friday.
Hartford 3, Brattleboro 2 (OT)
HARTFORD -- Jeremy McGlone scored eight minutes into the first overtime to get the Hurricanes to 7-2 overall.
"They are the No. 4 team in the state. They had us on our heels a lot. We learned a lot from playing them," said BUHS coach Paul Sather.
Brattleboro’s Conner Elliott-Knaggs scored and also assisted on a goal by Jack Maples. The Maples tally deadlocked it at 2-2 with 25 minutes remaining.
The 3-4-1 Colonels will host Leland & Gray for their Homecoming game.
BRATTLEBORO -- Brattleboro’s Jon Burdo, Oliver Pomazi, Gabe Britton and Logan Turner-Renaud were all honored on Senior Day at the East Orchard Street course.
Nevada Powers (23:38) placed fifth and Catey Yost (24:46) was 13th to lead the BUHS girls to a bronze. MAU prevailed with 30 points and Stratton earned silver with 52.
Ryan Gilligan finished sixth in 19:42 to pace the Colonel boys, who placed fifth in the team scoring. MAU, Stratton, and Burr and Burton were the top three.

BENNINGTON -- The Colonels fell behind 3-0 at the break and eventually dropped to 1-7-1 overall. Kayla Savage and Kebrina Howard both passed well, according to coach Deb Valliere, and Megan Powell was the defensive standout. Brattleboro will host Fair Haven on Friday.
