CHESTER -- Freshman Troy Felisko scored a hat trick to help the Twin Valley boys soccer team remain perfect on the season with a 5-0 victory over Green Mountain on Wednesday.
"He is the next Colin (Lozito). He is bigger than Colin, but he’s like a mini Colin," said Wildcats coach Buddy Hayford of Felisko, who already has eight goals this season. "He brings energy, effort and hustle."
Dal Nesbitt and Lozito also tallied for the winners. Lozito had a team-high two assists, while Dal and Cade Nesbitt each finished with one.
"I was very pleased with the way we moved the ball around. We had control of the game from start to finish. We were just dominant on defense," added Hayford.
The Wildcats, who improved to 10-0 and have yet to give up a goal this season, will play at Stratton on Saturday.
Wilton 2, Hinsdale 1
HINSDALE, N.H. -- The visitors scored on a corner kick, midway through the second half, to break a 1-1 tie.
"They are the No. 3 team in the state," said Pacers coach Steve Fecto. "We are a young team, so I’m very proud of how we played against a team made up of juniors and seniors."
Richy Webster scored for the hosts, assisted by Matt Boggio. The 2-7 Pacers will host Leland & Gray on Monday at 4 p.m.
MAU 6, Brattleboro 0
BRATTLEBORO -- Marcus LaFlam had a hat trick to lead the Patriots on Tuesday.
"We just came out flat. We weren’t ready and they are a good team," said BUHS coach Paul Sather.
When the teams met in Bennington earlier in the season, MAU prevailed, 2-0.
