WOODSTOCK -- The Brattleboro girls ice hockey team bounced back from a season-opening loss with a 5-0 win over Woodstock on Saturday.

Alex Fellows and Keagan Jameson took turns between the pipes, combining for five saves and the shutout. The Colonels took 25 total shots.

"It was a great team win. It will build our confidence for Wednesday’s game against U-32," said first-year BUHS coach Kraig LaPorte.

Meyru Bhanti, Cassidy Stebbins, Madison Doucette, Michaela Shea-Gander and Dorothy Kinney-Landis all found the back of the net for the winners. Grace LaPorte was credited with an assist.

The 1-1 Colonels will play at U-32 on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
