WESTMINSTER -- The Bellows Falls-Hartford wrestling team defeated Hampton Charter High School of Massachusetts, 52-30, and Mill River High School, 60-15, at a tri meet Wednesday night at Bellows Falls Union High School.

Three Seniors were honored at the lone home event of the season. The seniors are Patrick Libuda and Nolan Viens from Hartford High School and Shane Brown from Bellows Falls.

The hosts dominated the mats by winning 20 of the 28 individual matches wrestled. Austin Viens, Nolan Viens, Patrick Libuda, D.J. Snide, Kyle Record and John Harris had perfect nights. Cameron Viens, Brendan Kendall, Bryce Smith, Steve Cerrone and Jake Lober all went 1-1. Shane Brown and Kevin Gosslant also participated.

Lucas Handy and Austin Taylor participated on the Junior High level. Handy went 2-0 and Taylor went 1-1. Spencer Clark was unable to wrestle as they did not have any junior high wrestlers in his weight class.

"They made a great showing at our one home event," stated Bellows Falls-Hartford coach Claude Weyant. "They continue to progress as the season moves along."

The Terriers will be on the road this Saturday, traveling to John Stark High School in Weare, N.H., to participate in a dual meet and individual tournament. Wrestling is expected to start at 9:30 a.m.
