Nancie Schwartz-Angell (shown in photos), of West Brattleboro, will be competing at the 2014 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships in Hyannis, Mass., from April 8-12.

Schwartz-Angell is a long standing dedicated member of the Brattleboro Figure Skating Club where she has trained with her coach Suzanne McCaughtry. She has participated over the years in local tri-state area adult competitions and also participated in the USFS Sectional Championships in New Jersey along with ISI Adult Nationals in Lake Placid, N.Y.

She is a part-year recreational skater and therefore as with many adult skaters, the responsibilities of job and family must be her priority. Her devotion and love of the sport have brought her these wonderful opportunities. She will be competing in two events: a Light Entertainment Showcase and Dramatic Entertainment.

She is employed at the Marlborough Elementary School, she is an accomplished Yoga instructor and lives in West Brattleboro with her husband, Sam Angell.
