HINSDALE, N.H. -- The Hinsdale girls basketball team has plenty to be excited about.

First off, they’re undefeated in Division IV at 11-0 with previous victories over Wilton-Lyndeborough, an unbeaten Nute, and most recently, a 64-29 win over rivals Derryfield on Friday.

But what the Pacers are really looking forward to, and one Pacer in particular, is the team’s contest tonight versus Newport.

The reason for all the hype is that there is a good chance Hinsdale’s Allison Scott will achieve a goal not-so-often accomplished in girls varsity basketball.

Scott is gunning to become the next member of the Pacers’ 1000-point club, and there is a very good chance this will happen in tonight’s away game.

Scott came up shy by just three points during her team’s win Friday, but she led with a game-high 21 points, and Skylar Bonnette added 16 points to the final score.

If Scott succeeds in her mission, the team’s morale will likely be at its peak as they begin to wrap up the regular season and look forward to the playoffs.

The Pacers will play at Newport tonight at 7.
