WILMINGTON -- Three different players had a double-double on Tuesday night to lead the Twin Valley girls basketball team to a 53-43 victory over Bellows Falls.
Floor general Savannah Nesbitt finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and five steals for the 13-4 Wildcats, who are on a seven-game winning streak. Hannah Swanson (12 points, 13 rebounds) and Colton Butler (11 points, 12 rebounds) also had huge performances.
"I’m pretty pleased with my group," said Twin Valley coach Buddy Hayford. "We limited Bellows Falls’ chances. There weren’t many second chances for them and that’s big in basketball."
The 5-11 Terriers, who trailed 29-13 at the intermission, got a team-high 14 points from Stephanie Parsons. Emily Dufault followed with a dozen points and Chelsea Wilder chipped in with 11.
