During the special one-day sale, 10% of all sales of the beautiful plants and flowers at Annie's Garden Center will benefit the Rays of Hope.
Annie's Garden Center, located on 515 Sunderland Road on Route 116 on the Sunderland/Amherst town line, offers plants, pottery, gifts, garden art, and organic gardening supplies in a beautifully decorated, fun setting.
Annie's was founded in 1991 by Annie Cheatham and purchased in 2001 by Mike and Michelle Elston, who both have degrees in plant science from Cornell University.
Rays of Hope, the most successful fund raising walk-a-thon in Western Massachusetts for breast cancer, was created in 1994 by Springfield native Lucy Giuggio. The Walk through Forest Park last year raised a record $850,000 to support Baystate Medical Center's Comprehensive Breast Center, part of the Baystate Regional Cancer Program, as well as breast cancer care at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Baystate
All funds raised for Rays of Hope benefit Western Massachusetts communities.
This year's 15th annual Rays of Hope Walk will be held on Sunday, Oct. 26.
