Font ResizeFRANKLIN (AP) - A former Internal Revenue service investigator in Vermont has pleaded guilty to concealing records for a private business he owned.
Prosecutors say 46-year-old Richard Andersen of Franklin failed to turn over time cards and other records from a Sears Hometown Store he owned in St. Albans.
Early last year, the state Department of Labor began looking into Anderson's compliance with wage and hour regulations, but officials say he hid many of the subpoenaed records.
At the time, he was also employed by the IRS as an investigator with a fuel tax program.
A federal grand jury indicted Andersen on four charges relating to obstructing a wage and hour investigation.
