RUTLAND (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a 25-year-old Vermont woman is free on conditions after she pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of oxycodone with the intent to distribute it.

Sara Schoenwetter, of Rutland, was arraigned Thursday in federal court in Rutland.

Prosecutors say Schoenwetter was arrested April 12 by Rutland city police and later charged by the Rutland County state's attorney with possession and sale of oxycodone.

On Aug. 15 she was indicted by a federal grand jury with possession with intent to distribute oxycodone.

She was arrested by federal agents on Wednesday.

If convicted, she could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.
