BRATTLEBORO (AP) - The Chamber of Commerce in Brattleboro is hoping to draw more tourists and business to town with some exposure in New York's Times Square.
A series of five-second ads flashing on electronic screens in the square known as the crossroads of the world will feature photos from the southern Vermont town and the slogan, "the One and Only Brattleboro."
The campaign is the brainchild of the Chamber's Jerry Goldberg, who says Brattleboro needs a boost after being hit by Tropical Storm Irene and a big downtown fire.
The ads in Times Square will run from Sept. 7 through 13.
