According to the Brattleboro Police Department, two employees of Sam's Outdoor Outfitters spotted Isaac I. Jacobs, 35, of Brattleboro, on Flat Street and notified police.
Police confronted Jacobs, who gave them a false name before attempting to run away.
After a brief foot pursuit, Jacobs was arrested.
On Oct. 3, the Brattleboro Police Department took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle on Main Street. Police learned a credit card had been stolen and used at five different businesses in Brattleboro.
A surveillance photo was released by police to the media, which helped to track Jacobs down.
Jacobs was found to have an outstanding warrant for failure to appear and had a bail of $10,000.
He was ordered held on another $10,000 bond will appear in court today.
