The final tally on the police-fire renovations was 99-34. Brattleboro officials have been working toward the proposed renovations to the police and fire facilities for more than 20 years.
When it came to the 1 percent option tax, an official count was not taken because the voice vote was so one-sided.
Town officials said the tax could cover between 60 and 70 percent of the payments on the 20-year bond, which ultimately will cost about $20 million in interest and principal.
Saturday's meeting began at 8:30 a.m. at Academy School.
