WILLISTON (AP) - Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin is going to help launch the release of the Second Atlas of Breeding Birds in Vermont.

The book that the governor will release Wednesday at an event in Williston was 10 years in the making.

It will include photos, maps, graphs and interpretation for more than 200 species of bird.

The Vermont Center for Ecostudies says the book will become a classic reference for birders, ornithologists, conservationists, land use planners and others.

The book will document changes in the distribution of breeding birds since the 1985 atlas.
