BRATTLEBORO (AP) - Vermont State Police say a New Hampshire woman was stressed because she had no money for Christmas gifts when she robbed a Rockingham gas station at gunpoint.

The woman, 41-year-old Shannon Vick of Claremont, N.H., pleaded not guilty Monday to a felony charge of assault and robbery.

Police say she entered the Sunoco station off Interstate 91 on Friday with a mask covering part of her face and put an air-soft gun on the counter. She fled with about $200.

Judge Katherine Hayes dropped the original $5,000 bail to $500 because Vick cares for an 8-year-old autistic son.

Her lawyer says Vick knows what she did was wrong and wants to make amends as she deals with a recent drug relapse.
