Investigation continues after a robber left People's United Bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

WILMINGTON >> Police say a bank teller was handed a note demanding money Monday morning but no weapon was displayed.

At approximately 9:23 a.m. Monday, the Wilmington Police Department and Vermont State Police responded to People's United Bank at 29 East Main Street for a reported bank robbery. Six minutes earlier, a white male had entered the bank with a note.

"The male subject is described as being possibly in his late 20s with a mustache and wearing a white sweatshirt with the hood up," police wrote in a press release. "The male subject left on foot out the front door with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect's direction of travel and whether a vehicle was involved is unknown at this time."
