CHESTERFIELD, N.H. — Local police are investigating another robbery of a gas station, this one just across the river from Brattleboro at Pierre's Place on Route 9, a newly opened Irving station owned by the owner of the Riverview Hotel.
According to a press release from the Chesterfield Police Department, at approximately 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24,, a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jacket and black ski mask and carrying a black handgun in his pocket demanded money from the cashier before fleeing on foot in the direction of Red Road.
The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash from the cashier before fleeing.
He was also wearing black pants and black gloves with black knuckles and red over the outer portion of the hand and fingers. He was described as between 5' 2" and 5' 4" tall and of a thin build.
The Chesterfield Police Department was assisted by officers from Hinsdale, the New Hampshire State Police and Brattleboro, Vt.
The New Hampshire State Police responded with a K-9 and tracked the suspect into Brattleboro.
This is the fourth robbery in a week that has occurred locally. The other three were in Brattleboro.
