Peter Compos, of Chesterfield, N.H., was driving home from Bennington on Route 9 in Brattleboro when he said he dozed off and crashed into a tree on Friday. "I was tired on the way back, went to work early. I pulled over a couple miles up the road, closed my eyes and rested for a minute," said Compos. After resting he thought he was OK to keep driving. Compos said that he felt all right after the accident.

BRATTLEBORO >> Following an investigation into multiple reports of damage to motor vehicles, the Brattleboro Police Department arrested two 18-year-old men.

Complainants stated that while operating on Route 9 in both directions vehicles were being struck by rocks causing severe windshield damage. Late on Friday, police arrested Morrow Bernard, 19, and Ian Bryce, 18, both of Wilmington, and cited them with reckless endangerment and unlawful mischief.

• At 9:10 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Route 100 in Wardsboro for the report of a fight. As a result, Chet Lea Woodruff, 29, of Wardsboro, was arrested and cited with domestic assault with children present.
