SUNDERLAND — A Massachusetts bicyclist suffered injuries after colliding with a vehicle on Saturday morning.
Vermont State Police responded to the intersection of Sunderland Hill Road and Bacon Hollow Road in Sunderland at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Dorothy Mulherin, 79, of Manchester, was traveling south on Sunderland Hill Road when she turned left in front of the bicyclist, who was traveling north, according to a release from Vermont State Police.
Raymond O'Hara, 67, was thrown from the bike when he steered to the right to try an avoid Mulherin. He came in contact with the vehicle's passenger side, the release stated.
O'Hara was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center by the Arlington Rescue Squad for back injuries.
Police reported that Mulherin was not injured, but was issued a ticket for not yielding right of way.
