BRATTLEBORO >> A local woman pleaded guilty in court today to three counts of burglary and one count of felony possession of stolen property.
According to a press release from the Vermont State Police, Donna Ditchkus, 54, of Brattleboro, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division, to a string of burglaries and thefts in the Windham County area that began in the Spring of 2012.
Following an investigation, troopers concluded Ditchkus engaged in these crimes with Rebecca Harkness of Westminster, who pleaded guilty in November of 2015 and is currently incarcerated.
During the course of the investigation, the Vermont State Police, the Brattleboro Police Department, the Wilmington Police Department, the Dover Police Department and the Windham County Sheriff's Department recovered more than 200 pieces of stolen property with a value in excess of $40,000.
The victims include the Dunham Estate on Upper Dummerston Road in Brattleboro, Johnathan Flaccus and Unique Antiques on Main Street in Putney, Jack Winner Antiques, on Route 30 in Newfane, a home on Auger Hole Road in Marlboro and a home on Route 100 in Wilmington.
According to the Keene, N.H., Sentinel, Ditchkus faces charges of possession of clonazepam in Keene.
