HINSDALE, N.H. >> On Monday at approximately 1:45 p.m., members of the Hinsdale, N.H., Police Department, the Hinsdale Fire Department, and Rescue Inc. were dispatched to Route 63 north in the vicinity of the Pisgah State Park Kilburn Trail for a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, police found a single vehicle on its roof with a male subject identified as Griffin Johnson, 30, of Winchester, N.H., lying on the side of the road.
Johnson was found to have been ejected from the vehicle and was being cared for by other motorists that had come upon the scene.
Johnson was taken to the Cheshire Medical Center for further care and subsequently transported to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center by helicopter in critical condition.
This case is under investigation by the Hinsdale Police and anyone that may have been in contact with Johnson prior to this accident is asked to contact the Hinsdale Police Department at 603-336-7766.
Members of the Chesterfield, N.H., Police Department, Chesterfield Fire/EMS and Diluzio Ambulance Service all assisted with this call.
• The Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence in Westgate for a report of a citizen dispute. Following an investigation, Jessi Grover, 30, of Brattleboro, was cited with simple assault, and Ryan Chandler, 38, of Brattleboro, was cited with unlawful trespass. Injuries were minor, and no one was transported to the hospital from the scene. A can of bug spray was used as a weapon during the incident.
• The Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for a report of a car accident. The vehicles involved were a Buick Lacrosse, which struck a parked car. The operator of one of the vehicles, Andrea L. Fields, 48, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with driving under the influence. There were no injuries in the crash.
• At 7:30 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Dover Road in Newfane for the report of a single-vehicle accident. Troopers determined Gregory Holland, 18, of West Dover, was traveling west when he fell asleep and then failed to navigate a turn causing him to crash into a telephone pole. Holland sustained minor injuries from the crash and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
