Editor of the Reformer:
I would like to thank the community for the huge amount of support that they’ve given me this past summer as I started my organic cookie dough business as a fundraiser to help pay for college. When I started, I never would have imagined that I’d be making dough almost every day of the week for customers that had heard about me from the Reformer or word of mouth. Through the communities’ support, I was able to raise enough funds to pay for my text books my first semester. This is such a blessing! Thank you to everyone who has ordered, liked my Facebook page or told their friends about my business.
I would also like to remind locals that I do not leave for college until August 17th, and am able to continue to deliver for free until then. Once in college, I will still be able to ship dough to customers in New England, they will just have to pay for shipping.
Thank you all again for your support!

Pierce Lawton Unit #37 American Legion Auxiliary would like to thank everyone who chose to wear and donate to the Poppy Program in the month of May.
By wearing the small red poppy it is a reminder of sacrifices made by our men and women who are in and were in the Armed Services. It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that we, who wear the Poppy, take a time-out
The Poppy Program is supported by all American Legion Auxiliary Units across the nation and are made by disabled Veterans.
Unit #37 also would like to thank all local businesses in Bellows Falls for your support in letting us place the Poppy Can on your counters to be used for donations along with letting us use your parking lot, entryway to your business in order for us to display the poppies and to receive donations for them.
A big thank you to Pat and Allen Fowler, owners of The Village Square Booksellers in Bellows Falls, for allowing us again to use the window space for our Poppy Display.
Helen Gideos,
For the Veterans and their families,
Unit #37 Poppy Chairwoman, July 30

The outpouring of generosity and love has made it impossible to grieve the loss of our home and its contents due to the fire on the evening of July 2, which continued past daybreak July 3. The faces, only some familiar, remain a collage of sympathy and kindness. We will always carry that image with us along with our gratitude.
The numerous gifts including pots and pans, laundry service, Chelsea Diner gift cards, offers of free labor for cleanup and help to rebuild, along with many hugs are all deeply appreciated. We will try to thank all of you individually when things quiet down a little.
Doris Lake and Peter Diamondstone,
West Brattleboro, Aug. 3
