Grate, not great
Editor of the Reformer:
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again," contains a grammatical error. Should it not be spelled grate? Merriam-Webster tells us that the word grate is 1) to break into small pieces, 2) to grind against something with a harsh noise, and 3) to have an irritating effect. All of these definitions seem appropriate.
