A simple question

Editor of the Reformer:

In light of the very serious allegations of fraud and financial impropriety currently being investigated in the Northeast Kingdom — an investigation from which politicians on both sides of the aisle are running for cover — I would like Scott Lisman, Sue Minter, Matt Dunne and Peter Galbraith, all running for governor, to answer one question.

Iberdrola Renewables was recently convicted by a federal regulatory judge of defrauding the state of California and its ratepayers out of millions of dollars by essentially running an energy credit Ponzi scheme. In light of that fact, how could any future governor or member of Vermont's Public Service Board support the approval of any future projects in Vermont involving Iberdrola?

I hope Vermont's many fine investigative reporters as well as the voters throughout this state will demand a direct response to this question.
